This body is universal to fit on most chassis that have the wheelbase to accommodate the body. GTB’s custom body houses a on board bathroom with a RV style toilet and sink. The exterior is outfitted with custom sized storage compartments that have been up-fitted with custom fit roll up doors, diamond plate slide out shelves, and a protective liner that will help extend the life of the compartments. A remote controlled awning is located at the top of the unit on both the driver and passenger side. A custom rear bumper provides both ease of access into the apparatus along with extreme protection to the rear of the unit.

The interior of the unit is also comprised of the highest quality aluminum, and is used to construct the storage compartments, and its structure. All of the doors inside the body of the apparatus are recess able doors, this means that after opening the doors they will be able to slide into the cabinet, allowing there to be more room for operators to move throughout the unit without having to worry about running into doors. The bench seat on the driver side has the ability for the seat to lift up to gain access to additional storage, and seat cushions that are removable for easy clean up. All interior lighting, in both the storage compartments and inside the body are LED strips and flush mounted puck lights. All of the entry stairs are sprayed with a non-slip coating for entry and exit protection to the operators.

General Truck Body Manufacturing Company of Houston, Texas has developed the Patient Evacuation Vehicle (PEV), a first-of-kind vehicle that rapidly matured from concept to first production unit in less than one year. The configuration of the Patient Evacuation Vehicle (PEV) includes a unique combination of best-in-class systems equipped on ambulances, buses, clinical, rescue vehicles including aircraft.
